Olivia Levi Hadid (b. 1997, Argentina) is a Jerusalem-based artist and filmmaker. She immigrated to Israel in 2019 and graduated from Bezalel Academy of Arts and Design (Video, Screen-Based Arts, 2025). Her practice moves between experimental cinema, documentary, video art and performance.
Olivia’s works explore identity, stigma and femininity through the body and language. Her last film, CHA CHA CHA, has just been screened at the Jewish Film Festival at the Cinemateque in Jerusalem and her last video art works were exhibited at the Barbur Gallery and External Bezalel Gallery in the past half a year. She also experimented live performance with her new show Yamila & Camila, a 15 minutes scene of a telenovela at Festival Room Service by C.A.T.A.M.O.N.
LEFALAF is a single-shot video work documenting the artist eating a falafel. The footage is screened in reverse. The piece reflects on Israeli reality from the perspective of someone who wasn’t born here - an artist who immigrated to Israel six years ago from Argentina, with family roots in Damascus. Using falafel as a metaphor for life in Israel, the act of eating takes on both political and personal dimensions. It becomes a lens through which to reconsider the complex relationship of love and rupture with the place one inhabits.
أوليفيا ليفي حديد (مواليد 1997، الأرجنتين) هي فنانة ومخرجة أفلام مقيمة في القدس. هاجرت إلى إسرائيل في عام 2019 وتخرجت من أكاديمية بزاليل للفنون والتصميم (الفيديو، فنون الشاشة، 2025).
تتنقل ممارستها بين السينما التجريبية، والوثائقية، وفن الفيديو، والأداء. تستكشف أعمال أوليفيا الهوية، الوصم، والأنوثة من خلال الجسد واللغة. عُرض فيلمها الأخير، CHA CHA CHA، للتو في مهرجان الفيلم اليهودي في سينماتك القدس، وعُرضت أعمالها الفنية المصورة الأخيرة في جاليري باربور و جاليري بتسالئيل الخارجي في النصف الأخير من العام. كما جربت الأداء الحي من خلال عرضها الجديد Yamila & Camila، وهو مشهد مدته 15 دقيقة من مسلسل تيلينوفيلا، في مهرجان Room Service من قبل C.A.T.A.M.O.N.
لفالف هو عمل فيديو لقطة واحدة (وان-شوت) يوثّق الفنانة وهي تأكل فلافل. يتم عرض توثيق الأكل بحركة معكوسة. يتحدث العمل عن الواقع الإسرائيلي من وجهة نظر شخص لم يولد هنا، فنانة هاجرت إلى إسرائيل قبل 6 سنوات من الأرجنتين ، وعائلتها ذات أصول من دمشق. يتناول الفلافل كانعكاس للحياة في إسرائيل. يكتسب فعل الأكل دلالة سياسية وشخصية في آن واحد، ويسمح بإعادة فحص علاقات الحب والكسر مع المكان الذي يعيش فيه الناس.

לפאלפ היא עבודת וידאו וואן-שוט בה מתועדת האמנית אוכלת פלאפל. תיעוד האכילה מוקרן בהילוך אחורי. העבודה מדברת על המציאות הישראלית מנקודת מבט של מישהי שלא נולדה כאן, אמנית שעלתה לישראל לפני 6 שנים מארגנטינה, ומשפחתה עם שורשים מדמשק. עוסקת בפלאפל כהשתקפות לחיים בישראל. פעולת האכילה מקבלת משמעות פוליטית ואישית כאחד, ומאפשרת בחינה מחדש של יחסי אהבה ושבר עם המקום שבו אנשים חיים.
