Yair Glaycher is a multidisciplinary artist working in installation, sculpture, painting, video, and printmaking. His work explores the relationships between the spiritual and cultural-social world of thought and the aesthetic and visual realm. Born in Petah Tikva, he currently lives in Jerusalem and works at the Artists’ Studios at the New Gallery Teddy. Glaycher is a graduate of the Art Program at the Tel Hai Institute of Arts and holds a BA in Interdisciplinary Humanities from Tel Hai College. He exhibited in the “Dialogue with the Collection” exhibition at the Bar-David Museum in Bar’am (2023) and participated in the “Emerging Artists” exhibition in Jaffa (2023).

My work often deals with materials that surround us as humans, evoking a sense of stability and comfort—iron and concrete in construction, stone and asphalt of roads, plaster, glue, fabric, and foam. I bring these materials into the studio, where I analyze, deconstruct, and reconstruct them. Through this process, I uncover their hidden and forgotten duality. When I reintroduce these objects in a new relational system, incorporating sound and movement, they become a faithful testimony to the human condition.
